Don and Mary Jane Kretzing purchased Kanaga in 1969.   In 1989 they opened the bed and breakfast.  The Inn is now managed by their son Dave who is well known for outstanding food and being a hospitable host. Guests can mingle throughout the first floor. Turning left from the entry hall, you are in the living room. The living room and two bedrooms above it were part of the original house, built in 1775 by Joseph Junkin Jr.

Turning to your right, you are in the Tavern Room and Tavern. The Tavern Room is a favorite for early morning coffee.  You will find it also very relaxing in the winter with a fire in the fireplace and a good book. Enjoy a cozy breakfast for two at our innkeepers table in the Tavern. While we do not serve alcohol here, we do serve a delicious breakfast. This tavern was designed after the Raleigh Tavern in Williamsburg Virginia.

 

You enter the dining room from the back of the living room. The kitchen is behind the Tavern Room and to the right of the Dining Room. Enjoy a gourmet Pennsylvania breakfast here in our remodeled kitchen, the original summer kitchen to the home. With a working fireplace, the kitchen is a popular spot for breakfast. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m., just name your time!

  

The gazebo,  is a wonderful  place to relax after a busy day. There are tables where you can sip your favorite drink. You can also unwind in our upstairs sitting room.

 

Below are our bedrooms. All of our bedrooms are on the second floor with the exception of our Garden Room, which has it's own wheelchair accessible entrance. The Garden Room is completely handicap accessible with a walk in  shower and dining area.
